You don't want to drift into waters that are counterproductive toward your goal or message. Knowing clearly what your trying to achieve is motivating and keeps you engaged and invested. The goal for artists is typically to have their completed work creatively convey a message that emotes. Once you are clear on your intended message then seek the correct partner source. To make good use of time and to improve your chances for success seek a gallery, label, publisher or other appropriate source that resonates with your creative message. As well if you are a gallery, label, publisher or other source then ensure you are identifying and courting the appropriate message provider for your venue.
