Is your creative team generating a work Zen culture by delivering referral worthy creative to your clients? Teams need to crave the feeling of exciting success and peaceful Zen that immediately follows delivering creative that exceeds the client’s expectations. When clients are thrilled with the creative they receive and show it with referrals, it generates CEO Zen. This creative delivery concept results in building the culture. A creative team that masters the art of Zen will be more relaxed, happy, synchronized, productive and successful.
Don’t let your sales team down once they have procured and secured numerous quality clients. Sales teams don't let your creative delivery team down either; make sure you are selling what the creative team even does. So often failure can occur on either side of the sales and delivery equation. To be truly successful and to obtain a work Zen culture, both have to align.
You must listen very well to clients and really hear them. Connect with the client on a level that enables deeper level listening, respect, influence and collaboration. The project framework should make clear this listening ability. The creative brief must inform and inspire the overall team players that are utilizing the brief. Know your creative team well. Know how to inspire them and in what format each prefers to receive information. Share the information in a way that will not overwhelm but will help them generate exciting new creative.
You must deliver on what you heard the client wanted, to retain the client but never stop at retention. For referral worthy creative you must always go above and beyond the expectations of the client. Exceeding the client’s expectations can be achieved by outstanding creative that reflects a deeper listening and connectivity with the client.
It’s essential to always be thinking of and seeing the big picture. If sales secures amazing clients but the creative delivery team doesn’t listen, deliver and in fact aim to exceed client expectations then retention and referrals will suffer. Ultimately the ship sinks or sails based on the success and failure of either the sales or delivery team or their inability to align. The goal is for both sales and creative delivery to work together for overall growth and success. Don’t settle for retention, aim to exceed your clients’ expectations and grow your business. That growth will be creatively deserved and will reflect the synchronized skills and success of sales and delivery working in alignment and generating a work Zen culture. Align, listen, connect, deliver, exceed and generate referral worthy creative. Your creative team can do this with some great direction. Start immediately adopting my creative delivery concept and you can achieve CEO Zen and a work Zen culture.
